“From Homer to ISIS”: Talk at the 2016 ISCSC Conference

I had the opportunity to present a paper last week at the 2016 International Society for the Comparative Study of Civilizations Conference, held at Monmouth University (New Jersey). My presentation explores the classical foundation of Western identity through the light of today’s geopolitical context and East-West divide, especially the confrontation between radical Islam jihadist ideology and Western nations and values. Below is padlet access to PowerPoint and bibliographical references, for those interested in exploring the content of the presentation (https://padlet.com/jgonzalez_ocana/from_homer_to_isis. The paper is being prepared for publication).
